Campsite Hubs

“So many people spend so much of their time in the campsites we thought it was high time we gave them a bit more of a personal touch and ultimately hopefully create some mini communities. We’re dedicated to reducing litter and waste as Bestival so this is a big part of the Hubs role too… so choose your colour and campsite and let’s all make the campsites a cleaner and cooler place to be.” Rob da Bank

The Main Campsites are divided into colours and each campsite has its own identity, its own crew and, at its heart, its own hub.

Each Campsite Hub is made up of a gorgeous chalet, tower, flag, and seating area and come equiped with a large site plan, up to date programme information and dedicated staff to make sure you are all looked after and know where you are camped!

It’s a great meeting place and if you need first aid, security or would like to report something (over-flowing loo/bin etc) you will be able to go straight to your campsite’s Hub and the Hub Crew will be able assist you.

As our campsites are all colour-coded we have re-named each with a song to match. So where do you want to camp? In Blue Moon or Back to Black? Or do you think It’s Not Easy Being Green, prefer 99 Red Balloons, Barry White, Clockwork Orange, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road… or would you rather be Somewhere Over the Rainbow?!

We’ve also designated the Blue Campsite as the Quiet Campsite – please only camp here if you’re going to keep it down a bit.

With the same litter and Hub Crew all weekend we hope you become proud of your campsite – there will be incentives for bringing bags of recycling to the Hub’s recycling stations and each Hub Crew will be competing for their campsite to win the tidiest campsite of the year award and go on our Campsite Hub Wall of Fame.

The hubs are being decorated by art students from the Isle of Wight College using recycled materials. Their tutor has selected the students who have worked the hardest during the year from Level 2 Diploma in Art & Design and Level 3 Diploma in Art & Design. They will be working over the summer as a design team to produce creative, lively and innovative decoration for each campsite hub which will embrace Bestival’s ethos on recycling.
