Lost Picture Show

Prepare to take a trip back in time to the golden age of movie-going.

Step inside and encounter the past in vivid detail – a vintage cinema in intricately sewn and draped fabric, its swags and contours gently illuminated, its corners dark and atmospheric. Smartly turned-out usherettes whisper salacious gossip about long-dead stars over trays of ice cream, soda and popcorn.

The audience recline in luxurious velvet seating while low tables and flickering chandeliers complete the effect of a ghostly apparition of a time and place long forgotten.

Surely the most glamorous and luxurious cinema in the world, The Lost Picture Show invites you to rest your weary wandering legs, sink into a mountain of velvet cushions and enjoy a film programme that spans the very best of the past century – quite literally the greatest films of all time!

Over 3 days and nights, you’ll be taken on a journey from the Victorian experiments of Georges Méliès to the slick Hollywood product of today, via 20s musicals, 60s psychedelia and 70s schlock horror; Buster Keaton, Marilyn Monroe, David Lynch, Werner Herzog and many many more. Some of the treats in store include live re-scores, deranged documentaries, very special live performances and an array of wildlife-inspired cinematic oddities.

So grab a cuppa, kick off your wellies, lie back and catch up on everything you’ve missed since the moving image was born. Where have you been this past century?
