The Underground Restaurant with Kerstin Rodgers
Bestival welcomes the triumphant return of Kerstin Rodgers and The Underground Restaurant.
Bringing fine and explorative dining to a field, Kerstin will be hosting boozy brunches, long relaxed lunches and dinners for those who want to escape the hubbub of the festival and experience the opulence of eating like a king under canvas.
NB: Early and Late Dinner sessions do not clash with headline acts on the main stage; dine in style and still catch New Order, Florence or Stevie!
This year the restaurant has taken inspiration from the glamour of the high seas during the glory days of tall ships, extravagant merchants and shiny brass buttons.
Expect beautiful food served on heritage crockery, gorgeous wait staff in nautical uniform and pinnies, bubbles, french cider and hand-picked wines at the bar, vintage glassware and a very warm welcome from your captain.
Kerstin sources seasonal and exciting ingredients, and this will be done nearer September, but she is currently dreaming up dishes such as:
