Island stars shine for Bestival
Talent from across the Isle of Wight gathered at Northwood House in Cowes last night (Thursday 14th June) for the annual Bestival Bands and DJs competition and a capacity crowd of friends, family and fans cheered on some of the island’s best original acts and DJs fighting for the chance to perform at this year’s Bestival.
It fell to judges Rob da Bank, Mark King of Level 42 and Ross Findon from the Isle of Wight County Press to choose just one band and one DJ for the coveted spots.
After some intense judging it was rock act Southern Big Man, fronted by the unmistakable Jono not Bono chosen from the live acts (pictured above with the judges), while DJ honours went to The March Hare (pictured below).
